It's March! Life has once again gotten in the way of my sewing projects. We didn't get as much snow as they predicted, but we got plenty. They even cancelled the calf sale. We had planned to sell calves last week.
BIL and nephew came yesterday to help sort the calves. We are selling them tomorrow. We will keep the smaller ones and next year's heifers at home. It was a gorgeous sunny and warm day yesterday--lots of mud.

It took us most of the day to feed everyone and give everyone a dry place to lay down. I hope this is our last shot of snow.
It's always nice to have a warm coat to wear in this weather. It's even better to have food and a bed of hay.
You can't see the furnace vent under Puss. It was a chilly morning and she was making the best of the heat.

Beautiful days with a big drop in temp coming! Your sunset photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of snow Janet. Puss is very smart!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the sale. We sold to early but was still a very good price. Very grateful.
ReplyDeleteI also hope that's the last of your snow. It is snowing here and we've had a 30 degree drop in temperatures. But hopefully it will all melt quickly. I don't blame your kitty for snuggling up next to the heat. Stay warm and safe. Nola
ReplyDeleteSo nice of you to share your snow pics. Over 40deg celicus here.Hope all went well at the sale.
ReplyDeletePuss is clever finding the warm spot.
We haven't had any snow this year, but on Monday we awoke to a complete covering. It didn't last long, though. The sun came out and it was all melted by mid-day! And Puss reminds me of my Wilson...he's a Tabby, too, and also loves to lay on the heater vents!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the sale of the calves!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Loved the picture of your cat sitting on the air vent, looking at you and daring you to try and move him.
ReplyDeleteWe've been lucky this winter and haven't had much really cold weather or snow! Today it's going to almost 70 deg.!! Bringing a t-shirt to mom's to change if I get too hot. lol
ReplyDeleteHope the calf sale went well.

Oh, white out there. We are heading for Spring, so hopefully, it'll be just around the corner for you. Good luck with the calves, hey puss, just you guard that warm air vent.
ReplyDelete:-) X X X
a lot of hard work Janet, hope the weather gets better for you.xx
ReplyDeleteRequesting some of that moisture please. We've had a dry, warm, windy winter. Not the best conditions for growing spring grass. :( Thankfully prices are good! Hope y'all have dried out and you made it back to your sewing machine.
